Where Did All The Time Go

Well the semester is half way over and I just realized that I haven't posted anything since September. Procrastination at its finest. Nothing much has been going on except the same old boring stuff that happens everyday. But today we did have a snow day and I can honestly say Bloomington did not prepare me for snow days I wasn't sure what to do all day. I'm so use to going to school no matter the weather and then getting an apology after the fact. So today was a new adventure in my years of school. Maybe I'll get one more snow day before I graduate but I highly doubt it, its taken this long to get one in the first place.

TV Premiere Week

This week has been busy, two quizzes and a test. But this is also the week that I wait all summer for. TV shows are returning with new episodes. So far I have watched How I Met Your Mother, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Parenthood, Bones, and Modern Family. As I write this I am patiently waiting for Grey's Anatomy to start. While I do not always have time to watch my favorite tv shows I enjoy knowing that if I want to watch them that there are new episodes available for me to watch. I still will make school my priority and only fit in tv when I can but I still love new tv. And this weekend I might try out some new tv series to pick out something new for the year.

Volunteering

Today was an amazing day. I volunteered for 7 hours for the Harvest Gala. The Harvest Gala raises money for patients at Altru. This year they were raising money for their program H.A.R.P. This is a program for patients on renal dialysis. I feel very fortunate that I was able to volunteer for this and this program specifically. Renal dialysis is something that hits close to home and I understand what the patients are going through and the effects it has on not only the person on dialysis but their families as well. I am glad to say that I spent 7 hours volunteering but I am glad to say that I volunteered at an event that was raising money for dialysis patients. This volunteering made me think alot about my dad and how he continues to live his life on dialysis. I really love my dad and I'm glad that I was able to do something that supports people like him on dialysis.

Friday Night My Way

Well Friday is by far my favorite day of the week. I only have one class. It is before lunch and I don't need to wake up before 10. And the best part of all when I get out of class at 11:50 I am free from class until 11 AM Monday. Friday is a happy day, I may be exhausted from the week of classes and homework but I seem to be able to stay up late come Friday night. On a usual Friday night I would be watching movies more than likely it would of been a disney movie. But tonight was different. Tonight our school was hosting 3 comedians and I went. They were hilarious. But I pretty sure next weekend will be back to movie night.

The good old days

I will admit that sometimes I wish I was in Kindergarten again. When school was not time consuming, there was nap time and the main objective was to have fun while learning. Unfortunately for me I am a college student. The only similarity that college and kindergarten have in common is that nap time is a must. School work is time consuming and difficult. Most of the time I really enjoy the work that is needed to put into classes but sometimes there are days like today that I would have prefered to stay in bed instead of going to my 7:30 AM anatomy lab. I think today being in kindergarten again would have been ideal. I would have enjoyed learning while have fun, the fun usually involved coloring and playing games (two things I happen to excel in). While today I wish I was a kindergartener, tomorrow I will be glad that I am a college student. It is nice to imagine being little every once in a while.

Classes, Classes and more Classes

Classes are now in full swing. The first set of of tests are either done or coming up within the next week. I thoroughly enjoy class only because it keeps me busy. I not the biggest fan of tests and homework but it is something to do. What really keeps me going during the long days of class is my sorority they are what keep me going when classes are bringing me down. It doesnt get me down very often but when they do, I have people to cheer me back up.

Time for classes

Tomorrow is the day. The day that classes start. It is very exciting. Am I ready for the work that comes with classes? I am not 100% sure but I am ready to have stuff to do but not ready for the tests that come along with the classes. As of right now I am down to only 12 hours until Anatomy starts. Hopefully tomorrow will go well and the day after that and the day after that.
